DIY Table Runner Pattern

Spending way more time at home? We know the answer to that one, and we have the perfect project for you! Joan Edwards, an Amani volunteer, created an easy table runner pattern that you can replicate at home. The finished size of your runner will be 14" wide and 41" long. Here's what you'll need:

MATERIALS:

  • Quilting squares (10” x 10”) set of 12
  • 16” x 43” piece of fabric for backing
  • 16” x 43” piece of batting
  • Thread
  • Sewing machine suggested but not required

Let's get started!

1. From 8 of the 10” squares:

  • Cut two 2-1/2” x 10” strips and two 5” x 5” squares from each

2. From 4 remaining 10” squares:

  • Cut four 5” x 5” square from each

3. Using 27 of the 5” x 5” squares, sew together three rows of 9 squares each, placing the colors randomly.

4. Next sew the three rows together to form the table runner.
